Competition Team
We train the Australian National Development Program for women's artistic gymnastics and currently have gymnasts training and competing at levels 2 through 7. Our club hosts bi-annual meets in Beijing that regularly draw over 100 competitors. We also travel to Shanghai for a meet in the Autumn and have the opportunity to travel overseas to compete in Singapore, Hong Kong and Bangkok depending which meets fit in our training schedule.
Team training takes place 4 times a week and each session lasts 2 hours. All team members are expected to train at least 2 times a week. Participation in local Beijing meets in mandatory, traveling to out of town/overseas meets is optional.
Over the years our gymnasts have racked up numerous medals as individual and team competitors. We continue to strive to aid all our gymnasts in reaching their full potential.
Gymnasts that show potential will be invited to join our competitive squad. Tryouts will be conducted for those keen on making the team.
Gymnasts must be able to complete all required skills for a level at the start of term in order to compete at that level.
Gymnasts should be at least 6 years old to join competition team training and attend meets
